TV/Short film - Comedy
He hates his job and the people, when he turns up to an empty office at first he’s happy. Until he discovers he was the only one not in the lottery syndicate, that won 300 million. Hell? Or as the phones start ringing did he just become the boss?
A man who hates his call centre job, only slightly more than he hates the people, returns to work on a Monday morning to an empty office (not that he even notices for a few hours), Concerned he's missed a bank holiday he investigates only to discover that the work lottery syndicate of which he was the only person not to join, won the biggest jackpot in history and no-one came back. After a five minute rage, with a 'last person on earth vibe' he realises that he has an opportunity to get to know his ex-colleagues better by going through there personal things. Then when a company rings up to ask how many temps they need for that week he realises something else, he's now in charge.
History and birth.
This idea is in concept stage, a mere baby with little history. It actually accord to me recently when I was asked to join a lottery syndicate at work. I was so busy considering this I actually forgot to join so this might one day be 'based on a true story'
I think this would make a great TV series and I will flesh out the idea with both a female and male protagonist and see which is the most interesting. Although I also like the idea of making this into a short film.
